A Rochester native, Harold Egan was born and raised in upstate New York where he mastered the art of men's grooming before setting his sights on New York City.

       Harold Egan then trained at one of the most prestigious salons in the country to learn the art of hair coloring, Louis Licari Salon, where he honed his skills working as a color apprentice. From there Harold decided to go entirely freelance because of his growing demand with actors, models and singers who began to seek him by referrals alone. 

     Harold Egan now calls DS Studio of the Upper East side his new haircolor headquarters. The salon is one of the only all organic haircare salons which includes also organic haircolor into the mix for those health conscientious clients that are still looking for incredible results. Harold is now an organic haircolor specialist.

     Harold Egan loves to do all types of colors but has a soft spot for doing natural looking color that uses the wearers own individual complexion and eye color to select the proper shades and tones that would be most complimentary.  He has an educational background in many hair color lines such as Clairol, Paul Mitchell, Wella,  Redken and Matrix. Harold has transformed many highlights into modern day looks using cutting edge  techniques like Balayage, Ombre and advanced Foiling patterns.

     Color isn't the only thing Harold Egan has a hankering for. He loves to cut and style and has studied some of the most reknowned cutting icons such as : Toni&Guy, Vidal Sassoon, Cobella, Nick Arrojo, Robert Cromeans and many many more. One haircut with Harold and you will be hooked.
